Check out the official Alpha/Beta documentation thread for a more in-depth look! http://deadrising2mods.proboards.com/thread/1733/rising-alpha-comparisons-depth-research Easily one of the most amazing builds of 2006. This Build was created as a "Demo" for a gaming convention in Las Vegas in early 2006, as well as for GDC a few months after, in which various press got to play and write about the latest development of Dead Rising. This build is the definite "Pre-E3" build, but that is a very loose term and should be used with caution, as many builds before E3 can also be dubbed "Pre-E3" - This build is not very different from TGS as most of the assets are still just as early, however a new mall has been added to this build which is starting to resemble the Final games mall, with the exception of it being very early. The security room is one of the stages that went through the biggest changes, as it has extremely reflective surfaces and the model is very different from the Final game. Various areas around the mall are not even playable, such as Paradise Plaza, the Roof Top, Wonderland Plaza, just to name a few. Frank has been given a new model since TGS, which is now starting to resemble his Final model however he has different hair, and his textures are completely different, as well as his model is skinnier than the final version. A new HUD has been given to this build which is actually very close to the final game however the health blocks are grey instead of yellow. You are given 50 in-game hours to complete one specific main case mission, and various side quests. The main case is the "medicine run" case, in which you have to go get medicine for brad after fighting Steven. When you bring the medicine back to Brad, it plays the cutscene that follows and then a splash screen says "Coming in 2006" - The side quests involve saving various Beta survivors scattered around the very few playable areas.
