Konix Multisystem and retro gamer.....

OK so retro gamer is a rather poor UK magazine based around retro games and the like. Browsing in my WHSmiths this month I was caught by this months issue which proclaimed to have videos of the Konix Multisystem. I read the article on it, looked on the back of the cd case and thought screw it, why not, I bought it.

I've got the disc in my PC at the min and all I can say is wow....the videos are so great for the multisystem, alot of in game footage, tech demos, adverts, developers taking about the power of the system while playing some of the games....its 385mb of great footage.....now....just wondering, if anyone is interested, I could upload them to someones FTP (*cough cough Yakumo*) so you can all view these and wish the system was released.....

Now theres 23 videos, varying in size from 21mb to 50mb......I was thinking of uploading the promo adverts/tech demos first and then the games but its upto you guys and someone with an FTP whos willing to take on these videos.......if not, I'll design a basic website (when I say basic I mean basic, text, clickable link and download start!! no fancy things like graphics) in the next couple of days...I think Ive got about 200Mb webspace with my provider so Id swap and change the videos every week or until theres enough people with them to distribute them etc...

but let me know what you think.....

I'm sure people not in the UK would appreciate this, but think not of the web SPACE you have, but bandwidth allowance.

Yea, Ive just looked at my isp account and its fairly respectable, but like you say, bandwidth limitations, and I have a feeling it would'nt be too long before the ISP cap it.

What Ive done anyway is put two of the smaller video files in a crappy webpage (ones 8mb, the others 5mb) to show a little of the konix system's power.....should be up online in a few hours, just gotta get the upload details etc so bare with me people...I'll post the address when its up and working.....

That's the one! The system was based around a modular usage concept.

Will prob be a few hours, but I'll get them done.

A few tech demos (3d spinning cube, landscape generater etc) and some more software videos will be going up, just give me time.....

And thanks yakumo for letting me use your ftp...

I can see you uploading the files right now :smt023 can't wait to see the movies. Once they are all up I'll add them to the main FTP for all to download.

right, Ive uploaded the following files onto your FTP

cubedemo.mpg
hammer2.mpg (hammerfist in game footage)
Konix Trailer.mpg (promo video to sell the multisystem)
starray.mpg (shootemup for the konix)

Im gonna have to leave it there for a while cause I have to go out, but when I get back I'll upload a few more. But theres more then enough to keep you ticking over and to let others watch them.

enjoy
