Since when? Except for mentioning politics, religion and, apparently, weed, you can discuss anything here.
And what's the Gastopo? Lol
Guess you mean the Gestapo. And the comparison is "kind of" a stretch...
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?
freedom should not have a thread freedom should be everywheres.
thats my point, goose stepper
But I prefer Sony consoles over SEGA.
That's total bull, SEGA killed themselves through an myriad of bad marketing decisions and the internal wars between SEGA U.S.A. and Sega Japan. But SONY IS EVIL, I agree (even when I'm only buying Sony since the original Playstation... *evil laugh*...)
Insert stupid poem here.
IMO the final blow hinged on one choice: When Sega took too long to prepare Dreamcast outside Japan (a reverse of their Saturn surprise debacle). That gap offered Sony an opportunity to announce PS2.
wow you really set me in my place.....
seriously can you do better then "i know you are but what am i".
ill wait.
Apart from Religion and politics (and theres a place for that, see "the political thread" in off topic) you can talk about anything. Weed has come up recently but that's long time been discussed in the drunk thread here. The free voice thread I guess is the only place you can shit talk the website which in essence isn't necessary, it's a very laid back place.
The Nazi's used to walk like a goose, I figure he's comparing this place to the gestapo.

I never said that the blame lay solely with sony, but the PS2 hype machine certainly didn't help anyone except sony's bank balance, it was a multifactorial downfall.
A few bad decisions by SEGA + ongoing financial issues + overhyped ugly sony console + everyone believed every half truth sony crammed down our throats = bad news for SEGA.
One perhaps can't blame sony for playing the business game more successfully, but I've always felt they are to blame for the rise of 10 year olds with the attitude of "ur a fag id u dnt haz a playstation 2, ma favite game iz kingdum herts becoz i can get to da second level and gooby iz da best"
Regardless I was simply offering you an explanation, not trying to start an argument, tis the free voice thread after all, I think it's quite obvious which I prefer, even if I do own 5 PS2 consoles and only four dreamcasts.. for now :)

Shoving developers away wasn't good either. It's a wonder dreamcast did as well as it did with poor 3rd party sports support. No EA for Madden, NHL, FIFA... Or even PES and other company series.
But none of the EA ones, and those were/are popular. Guess they were a bit too much on the simulation side rather than arcade style like EA Sports games of the time. If I recall correctly, that decreased popularity a fair bit and is also the reason why Sega had to discontinue them a few years after the Dreamcast days.

But even the Turbografx received a game from EA, John Madden Duo Sports or something like that, with FMV for fouls, coin toss and those kind of things. I'm surprised that a powerful SEGA console didn't receive any ea sports games, even if there was close to none third-party support.
Insert stupid poem here.
Yeah Sega decided to cover for the lack of EA, by increasing their own sports game output.
Which in turn got reduced again when they sold Visual Concepts to 2K. (around the time EA signed that much criticized NFL exclusivity)
