Linux Mint is a polished version of Ubuntu which for me loaded up and using wireless in under 30 min.
Coming to an App store near to you soon! or not as the case may be.

Heh, i went with the standard gutsy gibson,...
works fine, except my laptop wireless was considered "linux hated"....it was kinda a pain, but after blacklisting the restricted driver, and loading up ndiswrapper with the xp drivers...it works....kinda
It see's my connection, but can't connect....might be an issue with my wifi though

i unfortunately had to forsake linux on my laptop due to the lack of wireless support for my USB wireless dongle, and using tha wrapper with the XP driver was more of a pain in the arse than it was worth, so i bunged xp back on there, slower but at least i can use the laptop on my network
