I actually won both games. I completely missed the part that said he would accept 500,000 buy it now and ended up paying so much more. :-( I guess I was too happy that it returned and I didn't bother reading through the auction again :banghead:

Yes, Yahoo Auctions can be ended at anytime to the highest bidder. So the moral of the story is, if you want it then bid. If you want to whine about it, as you think bidding later will save you a few yen then it's your own fault. :P

I've bid on a few items and got an email telling me I'd won a few hours later, even though the auction wasn't due to end for several days. I also noted that any auctions that get relisted are more likely to end after you bid, or if you have won other items from the same seller. ;)

Just like eBay... I can end an eBay auction and sell to the current bidder any time I want to.

Another thing about Yahoo auctions is you have the option of setting the auction to automatically extend 5 minutes if bids are placed in the last 5 minutes of the auction, so sniping doesn't always work anyway... (Does the listing indicate if it's set up this way? I seem to remember that it said this somewhere, but I can't actually read Japanese...)

The "game" is a educational game aimed at young children so that gives Yakumo a reason to buy it. :lol:

It's called Pict Flash Don Don and is a Flash card learning game, you can select Japanese, Chinese and English so you can learn words in those languages.
