Wow, even the old style DS out sold the PSP. Nintendo sure have the market these days as far as hand helds go. Now if they can just get the revolution out with games that "we" want to play and not shit loads of kids crap and the occasional grown up game, it could be the next winner.

FFXII hit almost 2 million sales, its perfectly normal that the PS2 hardware also increases sales on this week. The 66,670 its a perfectly normal number for PS2 in Japan, when a big game called FFXII hit almost 2 million sales

Erm, I think you got my sentance idea backwards. I said I was shocked the spike was not greater over the release of FFXII. I believe DQ8 & FFX created much larger spikes on release. FFXII Sales are pretty much on the mark (i believe its selling faster then X & X-2 did) for a final fantasy game.

I was going to say 1988, the year before the game boy came out but then i remembered the game and watch... so i guess the answer is 1979. Damn, 26 years of leading the hand held game industry?

More importantly, XBOX Outsells something

The 360 is down to $250 in my town, or $175 if you want a used console. They're looking for 999 to have some positive impact....which is possible in the sense that it's not like 360 sales are going to be negative heh.

I picked up Perfect Dark SE for 2,100 yen, FIFA for 2,000 yen, and Tom Clancy Advanced Warfighter from HK for 4,700 yen. The day they released Over G new for 6,200 yen they had a Buy sign next to it for used copies for 2,500 yen. Not a whole lotta confidence in that one...

For whatever reason Yahoo 360 consoles sales are higher than Tsutaya in my city...'splain that to me.

PS2 seems to be regularly selling around 35k units per week or more. That's amazing. Who the hell is buying them? No really, who? Surely the breakage rate can't be that great? It's like when Bryan Adams was No1 in the UK charts for 18 weeks or so. After the first 10 weeks it made you wonder who really was buying several thousand copies of 'Everything I do...' every week.

I'm impressed Xbox is hanging in there with a grand total of 68. Go on M$!

This chart makes me wonder if I made the right choice to buy an Xbox 360!!! I bought it mostly for the upcoming Resident Evil 5 and Dead Rising but I think Capcom might seriously review its roadmap for the Xbox 360 looking at the figures. :banghead:

NDS is a big seller, if they can replicate this success with the Revolution then maybe Nintendo will have greater 3rd party support like Sony.

Mattel football may have been number 1 in the early 80s everyone had one, and i had never even seen a game and watch till the internet came out.

DS still ahead of the pack, 360 appears to be pulling away from GC.

A bit like saying that Nigeria is pulling ahead of Jamaica in the winter olympics, isn't it? Being outsold 80 to 1 by the DS isn't much of an achievement...

Has Ninety Nine Nights come out yet? Is that why there was a week where the 360 sold 3000?

Hell, I'm looking forward to seeing how well it sells the week Blue Dragon comes out.

DS is owning the hell out of everyone though. Makes me wonder why Capcom insists on supporting the PSP over the DS... I guess they're retarded or something, I don't really know .
