to be honest, when i look at people with their art collections i think what a waste of money. if i was rich and could afford a lavish lifestyle - i would do EXACTLY what you are doing with your money. Ive got a few boxed consoles but not even 1% of what you have. beautiful stuff....

Well, considering that some people spend millions on one single piece of art that is presumably just going to become a very small part of the whole, I think you wouldn't necessarily have to decide what to waste money on if you were rich. Just buy it all :D
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

Sure, I totally admire that. Just wanted to point out that people who collect art probably could affort to collect a lot of stuff at once. Although as you indicated, it then becomes a time issue and especially searching for consoles (who do not just pop up on Sotherby's every quarter year where you have to spend 1mio$ at once) can be a hassle.
Checking Yahoo & ebay everyday eats time like nothing else :)

yeah i agree - have the fun must be tracking this stuff down. for me picking up 5 new, sealed in box VIrtual boys was such a highlight. esp cos the world was hunting for them. Same as going to singapore and seeing a box of Neo Geo AES cartridge games sealed on boxes...was cool.
