...but unfortunately, I also spotted a counterfeit DS Lite model. :-(



This Pikachu Edition model is not the real deal. The case of a regular DS lite has been swapped with this fake one.

People from China/Hong Kong have been selling these for a while on eBay. Both as a full body DS lite and just the case.

It's easy to tell, because you can actually see the speakers right through the cheap yellow plastic. The original version is not like that, even with camera flashlight. Also, the Pikachu emblem on the outside body is a bit different.

As for the box, Pikachu is a bit stretched and its colors are not right.
I'm not sure about the overall box design. The Japanese one definitely doesn't look even close to this. The American one (from pokemoncenter.com) might. But it's still 100% a fake, no doubt.

So yeah, no offense. Just thought you'd like to know. (Edit: Sorry if not!!!)

That new pile of old hardware looks brilliant - although I'd be a bit worried over how they're arranged; it doesn't look like it'd be very healthy for the boxes at the bottom.

It'd be cool to see a complete list of what you got in that lot. :)
