    problems with PlayStation 1

I have some really strange problems with my old Playstation's.

The first one is a SCPH-7502c and the second one is a Net Yaroze PAL. Both have the same problems.

The first problem: The Dual Shock vibration won't work (on both game ports). It happens to all my game pads. It's very strange because the vibration of my game pads work fine on a PlayStation of a friend.

The second problem: The parallel i/o is dead. I tried about 4 cheat cartridges and nothing was recognized by the PlayStation. The cheat carts work fine on a PlayStation of a friend.

I tried different power cables and so on but nothing helped. I don't know how I could solve these problems. :crying:

These problems occured first after I connected the Resident Evil Chainsaw controller to the systems. That's very strange, isn't it?

Does anyone knows about these problems? I would be pleased if someone could help me.

most psx problems are -apart from drive failure- related to blown fuses.

am besten schnappst du dir ein multimeter und misst sie alle mal durch.
sind ein bisschen diffizil zu löten, smd halt.

I have heard that some controllers can break the playstation (mad catz were culprits years ago). I'm thinking that RE controller screwed up your system (it is made for PS2, not sure if it's totally ps1 compatible, but I know I won't be trying one). Next thing to do is sell me your yaroze and I'll see if it can be fixed.

Hehe, yeah, I am also interested. It also is nice to put
a PCB from a scratched bad-condition debugger into a nice
    Yaroze case

I will never buy any 3rd party controllers. If the Chainsaw Controller would be real I'd visit Capcom and NubyTech ....

I'm not going to change any fuses inside the yaroze. The unit works fine except the 2 problems. And sorry, It's not for sale. It's a complete unit and it has even the limited members demo cd. I hope I can get a cheap Yaroze with a broken cd. Then I could change the parts.

I think I will sell the chipped PS1. I bought a debugger last week. It should arrive within the next days.
