I just bought that Space Turtle Battleship game from Y!J for the Korean Megadrive (along with 4 other titles that weren't exclusive). Should have that one here next week or so (pics, etc) in my collection gallery. The four "other" titles are Rampart, JuJu, Shinobi, Wonder Boy III. The first three in that list are sitting right in front of me at the moment, while Wonder Boy III is still on its way (with Space Turtle!).Originally Posted by cyberguile
Also, what's up with not seeing any Korean MD cases? I've never even seen one (unless I missed one in this thread, in which case feel free to knock me upside the head).
As for the Jaguar, we've never even heard word (in Atari's documentation or otherwise) that Korea was to get any units. Something tells me that even if they got 'em, they probably weren't localized except for maybe a manual (which has made tracking down JPN copies of games really f*cking hard enough as it is).

Yakumo, did the guy at http://www.guardiana.net/ ever do anything with his Korean Mega Drive images?
The reason I ask, and the reason I'm bumping this topic, is I'm doing a 6 page article on the MD for Retro Gamer, and for a bit of fun, I'd like to include a nice, large-ish, un-watermarked shot of the Korean MD box.. Maybe surrounded by Korean MD games or something.
Did he say you can post them or pass them on, or did he do anything with them? I PMd him ages ago, and he said he actualy found most of them on Korean forums.
Btw, if anyone else wants to donate a photo of a Korean MD box, or anything else strange and obscure that's related to the MD, and it's a reasonable high quality, then PM me! I will endevour to have your name credited in the article if I use it.
I would so kill for a Samsung Saturn...
While I can't help you in any way, I would just like to say continue what you do best! ;-)Originally Posted by Szczepaniak

I've got a copy of the Korean MD game Space Turtle Battleship (the only Samsung-released title that was a Korean exclusive), and could prrovide some pics of that if necessary?

Man I cant believe sansumg went as far as to make the 32X there, knowing the massive failure it was...
Shit, no wonder why they didnt try to buy SEGA back in 2002-03. At the time a lot of people tough it would be a good chance for samsung to get into the videogame market.
Anyways, can anyone tell me what the hell is this?
A power base converter?
Nah, looks more like a backup unit. Cart slot on the top, floppy drive on the front, or some similar arrangement.
Interesting picture though, what's the source of the image?
