Square Enix had their thumbs up their asses

I guess bugs are expected, but this one seems pretty ghetto.
    http://japan.classicgaming.gamespy.c...opic.php?t=991

    According to this announcement:

There has been an error discovered in the GBA software Final Fantasy IV Advanced, which went on sale 12.25.2005. When 4 of the conditions below are met, the game will not be able to operate, and save data will possibly become corrupt.

1: When party members total less than 4
    2: Activate the "Item" menu
3: Move an character to a blank space
4: Use an item again after moving the character in step 3.

    How to avoid:
Don't do the steps above. After step three, if you choose to save, or choose to view the monster album, be sure to close the menu screen before using an item.

    Morons.

AhA. Reminds me of the Star Ocean 3 bug that they had over there when it came out.

Sort of OT, but I just found out while playing Drakengard (I think it rocks) that Enix was pronounced "Ennix". Weird.

A recall? Probably not. Bad bugs exist in all sorts of games. It would make them more expensive, probably.

I think that S-E has just gone to crap the last few years. They started going completely away from captivating stories and fun games (like Xenogears) to flashy piles of steaming fetid... ahem, sorry, just even thinking about FFX2 sets me off.

It's sad really. FF4 is my favorite game and I was planning on getting this. Regardless of whether or not the US version has the bug, I think I will avoid it.

if thats bad, look at ff12, yeesh, i played the demo while not too bad, i really dont know how that gameplay is going to sit with most ff fans, but the fact that its gone through so many delays and a staff switch, im guessing they have gotten to teh point where its a damn pain in the ass to make another ff game. Anyone anticipating a tobal 3?

Weird how it is so that when people find some fatal bugs in games these days, they're almost ALWAYS freakishly easy to reproduce.

Amen Yakumo, even though I liked some of the old Disney games, from the age of the 8 bit days .

They do make some crappy flashy RPGs nowadays, but I still like some of their newer games.

They do like to make really gay looking characters in their recent FF games, though. Seriously.
