WCW 2000(working title) for PS2

Does anyone have any information or old mags with screenshots(I remember seeing some) on this scrapped game? I always wondered what was going to happen to it..me and my friends were very psyched about this game, but the WCW buyout by WWE ruined the release(EA lost its WCW-game license after that).

It was looking pretty decent from the screenshots I had saw. Anyone have them anymore or know any other info about what was to be?

WOW! Thank you so much for that, Borman! I remember seeing these screenshots, this is THE magazine that my friend used to have a long, long time ago. :dance:

It's incredibly interesting to see how early on the planning was when it was scrapped..kind of lets me down, though..maybe there is an extremely early build somewhere that allows for some concept-playability in a debug mode.

I'm sure there was some gameplay coded, I'm sure they had more than renders..they probably were just going to use one of their old wrestling engines. With EA's poor style of making wrestling games, I'm sure this game would have been atrocious as their WCW Backstage Assault or WCW Mayhem. Would have been neat to see those next-gen graphics with WCW wrestlers, though..
