Mario pics that are drawn in a serious / realistic style always look funny and / or goofy. Mainly because if you saw a real plumber jumping and hitting his head on blocks and climbing up vines you would think it was the weirdest thing you ever saw.
I have seen some of Mario running through the level in real style facing towards the camera down the road. Pretty funny looking if you ask me. There is this one guy that draws game characters in real style and makes them very funny.
