Ill buy a copy once they become available for purchase. Pressed copies would be nice (as assembler had mentioned in the initial thread), but a copy on generic media is fine to.
Would creating a "WTB: Sonic Extreme Demo" thread be out of line?
As long as the buyer will distribute copys, then I plan to get one. We will just have to wait and see.
I'll probably buy a generic media copy as well.
Don't start preordering copies or anything yet, because the supposed "winner" has completely disappeared, and has been using false information in his profile and just smells kind of fishy to me. I'm pretty sure the bid is reverting to the $2,500 guy.
The other bidder, as stated earlier, is an anonymous collector.

to hl718 - I fprgpt to ask in original thread, if you've seen this demo in action, how it compares to Christmas Nights/Sonic Jam 3D engine ? In these games you could at least play for a bit longet than 20 mins :)

I think they had to do their own engine. From the articles I read they had two. one for levels and one for boss battles. I dont think they let them use Nights engine.
Well they did use the Nights engine for a little while, till Yuji Naka found out and got pissed saying that he'd quit the company if they let the team use it. It was one of the many major factors that ended up totaly messing up the games production.
Didn't that auction ended way to early ? I think the price would end much higher.
