Let me try to remember....it's about 3 years since I studied for the CCNA :P

Routed protocols are protocols which are routed (duh) like: tcp/ip.

Routing protocols are the protocols which route the routed ones: BGP, OSPF, IGRP, RIP.

I hope this can be a start :)

My night will now feature the exciting explanations and googling for....

    TCP/IP protocol stack
Explain how TCP (layer 4) complements IP (layer 3) which is “best effort”
    TCP and UDP Segment Formats
    TCP and UDP Port Numbers
    Three Way Handshake/ Open Connection
    TCP Simple Acknowledgement and Windowing
    TCP/IP and the Network Layer

    And MANY MANY MORE.... :Hangman:

That's not so bad Paulo. I'd love to make a coursework about tcp/ip.
I hate every coursework/homework I have to do on college, it's just bullshit, nothing exciting.

TCP/IP is tedious, but isn't bad knowledge to know. The lower you can go, the more low-level problems you can troubleshoot. I know dick about networking, but have to screw around w/ routers from time to time at work.
