Ryuga Gotoku - Segas new "Shenmue like" PS2 game

It certainly reminds me of Shenmue. Hopefully what there getting at with the "GTA like resemblence" is that it will have the wide open seamless world of GTA and not that it will just be a clone.
Imagine GTA with the interiors and interactivty of Shenmue.

Would be nice to see Shenmue 3. However this is looking pretty sharp as well. Anyways, if Shenmue 3 does make it to 360 courtesy of Microsoft, that probably would be one of their first good decisions in a long while.

That guy is a complete rip-off of tommy vercetti :smt082

Honestly, I think this is a GTA made for the japanese market. Both GTA3 and VC didnt do well in japan, and the main reason was that most japanese couldnt understand most of the jokes, plus their mafia world is pretty diferent to the western one.

I doubt we`ll see this outside of japan

PS: shenmue didnt do well with the casuals, so I really doubt that another one would hit the spot............

GTA for japan uh? well, it seems interesting anyway. And impressive, more impressive than what you see on the next gens at the time anyway.
"(...)A One World Government and one-unit monetary system, under permanent non-elected hereditary oligarchists who self-select from among their numbers in the form of a feudal system as it was in the Middle Ages. In this One World entity, population will be limited by restrictions on the number of children per family, diseases, wars, famines, until 1 billion people who are useful to the ruling class, in areas which will be strictly and clearly defined, remain as the total world population."
