MADDEN 06 outsells every other game in the market

Well, aparently snatching the NFL license from SEGA (and every other company) has really helped EA since madden 06 has sold 1.7 million copies across all platforms, the biggest selling Madden to date in the first week. While not surprising, it is pumping money into retail when many developers cant sell any of their games.

Apart from being the only game with official NFL teams, the fact that it was released in every console (even the Master System and the Playdia) at the same time (except the PC that came later, and the PSP version TBR in september)

Well, I think this comic sums pretty much sums everything I think about EA being the only company autorised to make NFL games

The Madden owning the NFL liscence shit got old. The NFL put it up for sale, and EA had the biggest pockets, so they bought it.

So wait, you can get versions of the game for systems pre-current? What consoles specificly, and how (what method of distrobution are they using)? I have no interest in the Madden games (or most any sport-based game for that matter), but it sounds very odd that a company would do something like that.

yea and once a home brew guy gets hold of this thread than we will have madden for the master system....and possibly the vcs...though you couldnt get 11 on 11 on the screen at once..and madden wouldnt approve of that ..lol

I saw it for the Xbox, not sure about other platforms. Kind of odd to see, no?

I last got madden really when it lauched with the ps2 or whatever. It still basically looks the same and has lost the graphics wow factor it had back then.
