well today i went to comic con, it wasnt exactly that exciting this year, though i did enjoy the kevin smith panel, which was totaly awsome, anyway i had a chance to stop by the nintendo booth to see what they had, needless to say it was pretty small and crampt, randomly they would change what would download to your ds, though the reps dis say exaclty where the transmetter were, just that it was within the booth, i was ready to get bomberman downloaded, sadly there were enough people to play one game so i got cut out, later i came back to the booth and i was able to download the zelda trailer on my ds which played quite niceldy dispite the ok mpeg 1 quality, though sadly unlike e3 they werent handing out copies of it that were on ds cards. Though since i had my ds i was able to get a free collectors zelda coin thats made out of some type of metal as it has a bit of weight to it for a coin, and has some japanese writing on each part of the triforce on the back. All the demos were pretty much stuff at e3. For ds they had ds wars, mario kart, nintendo dogs, castlevania ds, and metroid prime ds. Needless to say for some reason i was a bit tired so i didnt really have the energy to wait in lines too long. Played a little bit of nintendo dogs and i must say its quite intresting once you start playing it, tried one demo course of mario kart ds and i must say its looking rather good and plays quite well, the track seemed real good too. For gameboy advance there wasnt anything exciting. There was the star wars episode 3 game that already came out, batman begins which didnt look too bad, and a night mare before christmass which looked alright.Meanwhile i was going to play the castlevania ds demo, though what was odd was how the game is fully played with the dpad and face buttons which i wentness when somone is playing, so im not sure how there going to make the sylus work into play while your playing but i must say it looks rather good, but people were taking too much of their sweet time playing it and ther was only one kiosk for it compared to mario kart and nintendogs 4 kiosks each. For cube they had the new hulk game, battallion wars, another game i cant remember again and of course the main attraction the new zelda. I must say the videos on the internet definetly do not do this game justice. The game looks so damn amazing in person its not even funny, i mean the detail of textures was amazing, plus the game was playable on flat lcd or should i say plama screens . I did want to play this badly, but the wait to play it was just a bit long and since there were people anxiously waiting to play the game, there really wasnt enough time to soak it in. As for sony and capcoms booths, quite dissapoiting. Though i dont have picture of them for you, you didnt miss much. Sony had nothing but games that have already been released, meanwhile capcoms booth was against the wall and not much was there except a special editon book on the history of street fighter which was going for $80 but wasnt anything excitng, and one demo kiosk for viewtiful joe ds and saiben in english. I must say these games look quite good especialy vietiful joe which looks quite close to its cube counter part. The only thing they had going was one of the artist from the street fighter serise who did work on all the street fighter 3's,but sadly i didnt have my copy of third strike with me plus a ton of people surounded him so it was quite difficult to see him. Anway heres the pics of nintendos booth.
some pics of the zelda coin
2 things i picked up
and of course i just had to get this shirt
sorry for not taking alot of pics of all the games at the booth as well as more impersions, i was just tired and out of it, but i must say these games coming out for ds will be quite a treat for those waiting for some good games, as for game cube, there isnt anyting new to speak of really or too exciting.
