If it makes you feel any better, I just emailed ebay about another user. I won an $8 item (actually $3 plus $5 for shipping). I paid via paypal within 3 days (on 6/5/05). The payment went unclaimed through paypal. I receive an email from the seller asking for payment. I reply saying I paid on 6/5 and included a copy of paypal's email. The email got returned undeliverable. I said screw this. I canceled the payment (which you can do when it goes unclaimed for weeks). I emailed him through ebay asking to send another invoice and I'll pay asap. No response. I ask ebay for the contact information and his phone number is disconnected. Now I just emailed ebay saying a user is using false contact information. I don't want to get a negative strike when I paid on time, especially for an $8 transaction. The loser had 96-97% feedback so I should have known.
