    PSP 1.0 firmware

    Is it true that we can launch game backup on memory stick wit ha 1.0 firmware.
    I really want to know the truth

    Not yet, but there is a tool in the works...
    there is also a tool that is released tomrrow that will let us boot code form a 1.50 system... i stupidly upgraded my ntsc|j psp to it before... so its my own fault ive had to wait until now to play around with megadrive emus and the like... but its good new for all you guys in the US.

    Fantastic, Cheers. Very nearly upgraded mine to 1.52 the other day as well! Only reason I stopped was when I saw "Extra Security" as one of the new features, And figured that that must be another method to stop homebrew.

    I'm just hoping that the 1.5 loader turns out to work, I picked up a PSP today :)

    only a few hours to go until we know whats up. my guess is that it is fake.

    and: until the gfx chip and cfpu has been documented, devving on psp is quite 2d-software-ish. :)

    Glad I didn't upgrade mine - it's still a good ol' 1.00 version. I had Sonic 2 playing on it the other day although the frame rate wasn't very good though....

    All in good time though....!!!

    CFPU? Is that the FPGA-like reconfigurable circuitry?
