I'm playing Blue Submarine No.6 Time & Tide on the Dreamcast at the moment and noticed something quite funny today. Normally I play on the big TV via SVIDEO (NTSC Dreamcast's actually have a very nice S-Video image) but I decided to give it a whirl on the TFT just to see if it would look any better than it already is. To my surprise it didn't really look that much better BUT it was possible to read the text that's used in background images. You know, the sort of text that you wouldn't really bother to read or even need too. Anyway, just take a look at Sega's description of these sonars :D
ACTIVE SONAR
Active Sonar System
Do not allow underside of the disc
to become dirty or scratched.
If the underside of the disc
becomes soiled, wipe gently with
a soft cloth.
:smt043 Sounds more like the warning from a CDR that from a sonar :smt043
U.R. SONAR
Virtual Reality Sonar System
Imagination reality system
Keep out of direct sunlight
And away
From heat-generating appliances
Store in a cool.
:smt042 Starts off ok but suddenly changes in to some sort of warning for a CD again. :smt042
Here's what the menu screen looks like in full.
As you can see, the text for the sonars isn't really there for reading but thanks to the power of the VGA box you can now read it :p
The game looks like this.
Do you know of any games with some strange text on them. EngRish doesn't count by the way :)
