I'm also one of the few who feels G4 is headed in this direction. Glorified nerds trying to be all funny and stuff that just doesn't work, in my book.
It baffles me how a company like MS, with so much money and so many talented employees can fuck up so bad. Those are some ugly images.

Now I didn't expect that to come from ASSEMbler himself ! Well said mate ! I've been saying it for years. American idea of style is just the opposite in my eyes. Without going in to cars, buildings etc just think of the consoles. All the following are ugly or too big.
XBOX = Need I say anything?
US SNES = Breese Block with purple swizzles (sweets for those who don't know) for buttons.
3DO (Original Panasonic FZ10?) = Another Breese Block but in black
JAGUAR = Cyber looking toilet
US PC ENGINE = Err, ugly and too big
GENESIS & SEGA CD LOGO = Not that bad but lose all style points compared to the Japanese one. 2nd best is the Asia one followed bythe European style.

Actually, I remember reading in an old EGM just before the system launched in the states that it had to be made larger in order to comply with FCC regulations or something of that nature.
Can't really fault them there.
Too bad Green is a fucking terrible color.

Well i know there are going to be 2 types of xbox one for 299 that has no hard drive and wired controllers and the 399 one that will have a 40 gig hd with one wireless control and have dvd play back and the case will look different. Trust me on that.
