My local Sega World has been under construction the last few weeks but today they finally removed the screens to reveal the new look Sega World :happyhap:

Now I wonder if it's possible to keep that Sonic story board in your bed room? Hmm, maybe not. Below is a pretty cack side view of the new look Sega World. Sorry for the poor image. I forgot to set the phone to "NEO" mode.

No new games added though apart from Out Run 2 Special Edition.

    Indeed.
Seeing the ad in Arcadia magazine has me very hopeful. Seems like a rather thorough update with some great new locales and an assortment of new vehicles.
    Xbox port, please? :)

It's even weirder when you go to those places. I went for about 2-3 w/o going anywhere outside of Tokyo (besides back to Texas once) and then went snowbaording... man, surreal. We parked at a restaurant.

I was a bit of a sad git today spending the day on my own :( So I went to Kokura (the next city to Shimonoseki) to visit the cinema. While there I took a few pictures from the cinema's roof. In these shots you can see Kokura castle and the house in it's grounds plus a pretty dull picture of Kokura City which looks really crap in this view. By the way, I saw Constantine in the cinema which was pretty good. Only came out in Japan last week. Oh and they had a new Star Wars add which showed much more of Darth Vader.

These pictures were taken at 6:30 today. You'll notice that the area is surrounded my mountains wich is pretty common here.

Nice pictures, is Kokura castle a reconstruction or one of the few "real" ones?

It's a real one. Of course inside is now all different but the actual building is original. You can't see from the picture but it's actually built on a large wall surrounded by water which now has massive carp in it.

As soon as I saw that castle I thought of Ninja Gaiden.

Does it have big statues with laser spitting eyes lurking behind each door?

Seriously though, cool piccies Yakumo, especially for someone like me who has yet to make any sort of pilgrimage to Japan. Please keep em coming:)

Funny enough it does have two big statues but no lasers unfortunately. I'm off for a drive with a few people from work tomorrow so just maybe there'll be some new pics coming.

Aaah..but were you dressed up in ninja garb at the time? The lasers would blatantly appear then:)

Very cool links f! I guess several of those were hotels, but what would make them just shut up with all the stuff inside? You would think they would sell it off before closing it down.
Go back to your village, they miss their idiot.

That is cool, if I were at No.3 I'd try to somehow take home the monitors on the ceiling, they could be RGB.
