I hate that screen, means that after 8 hours or so I still have to sit on my bloody ass for 2-3 more hours

Wow, two months without any pictures! Good job I've been busy with the phone :) First up we have a Pachinko company that likes to make themselves look silly with a 20 foot Engrish sign.

Now I know babies are not the brighest people in the world but buying them nappies with Goon on them is a bit much, don't you think

Finally this very amusing sign I spotted in a public toilet. Nothing particularly wrong with this as far as English goes but it sure would make for some funny Photoshop jobs, so feel free to let your imagination run wild

Japan is definitely the land of caution. "There's a space between the train and the platform. Watch your step as you get off". Well no shit.

<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

Here's a decent cherry blossom picture I took a few days ago. Granted, it wasn't taken it Japan, but I think it still qualifies. ;-)

I don't think we have Cheery Blossom trees in the UK. I read a story once that the White House has some in the grounds as a present from Japan. Os that true.?

Yeah. I recall reading something about that. I remember the text stating that Japan gave them to us in the early 1900's.

The street where I grew up in France was only planted with Cherry Blossom trees, we call them Japanese Cherry Tree or "Cerisiers du Japon" every spring the street would be covered with pink petals, very beautiful indeed.

We do - we had a tree that had been struck by lightening in our garden when I was a kid - so only half of it kinda bloomed. But still, was a nice sight...but no cherries ;-)

Ah so we do have them? I know that we had a tree that looks like a sakura tree. I winter is has red berries that bloom in to pink flowers in spring.

I've just came back from Kagoshima which I must say is a very beautiful place however the part were I stayed was on a mountain. What happened is that I had to visit my wife's grand mother who lives on a mountain side in Kagoshima that's so far away from anything that it takes 20 minutes by car before you come across the nearest convince store!

Here's a shot of a few islands from the grandmothers garden.

All the paths in this mountain village are so narrow and pretty dangerous as you can see here.

Imagine having to climb this very time you wanted to get to your house!

It's hard to see in the pictures but the path ways are so steep. Here in this picture you can see that the wall which starts off flush to the ground quickly becomes 3 meters high! Also do you see the rope on the left side to help you up the hill?

On the way home we stopped off at Kumamoto to visit the castle. Very impressive!
