We had a nomikai the other day but being the fussy sod I am when it cones to raw fish I got fugu-karaage and stake while the others had fugu sashimi. I was the envy of many :)

In my opinion, the sufficient number of Texans in any given location is 0. With the exception of, of course, Texas. Makes it easier to identify and ignore them.

I took my son to a theme park in Fukuoka last month. man, what a shit hole. You have to pay to enter then have to pay for ever attraction. Waited 1.5 hours for most attractions and they were piss poor for the most part. They should take a look at Alton Towers in the UK. Now that is a kick ass theme park! Pay to enter, ride for free on some of the world best rollercoasters.

Admittedly I haven't been to a UK theme park in 10 years but I do remember the lines moved faster than here plus the rollercoaster's were always far more entertaining.

Apparently not only are ski lifts about half the cost here, the lines are extremely short compared to the US. Total head scratcher. Only explanation I can think of is all the resorts built during the bubble, and not enough customers.

THAT. Going to Naeba every year, a ski resort built during bubble. Lot of restaurants and clubs are closed since many years.

I think you are right there. I can't say for the US but I've been skiing in Switzerland a few times and can't say I ever had to really wait in a line longer than a minute to use a ski lift / chair. In the bars at night though, that's a different story.
