Whats the deal with places like this in Japan, can you squat them? I know a few people who have just moved into abandoned buildings here in UK, 2 different squats I know of recently got the deeds to the property because they could prove they had been living there for 15 years or more.

Sounds cruel but I have no time for squatters. Anyway, any squatter will be moved out with in no time what so ever.

On a nicer note I took these photos the other night after coming out of the cinema (saw the new 007 movie, very good!) The pictures are of Christmas lights in water. The water is incredible calm giving a perfect mirror effect. Oh yeah, this is on the 10th floor as well :) Photos taken with my aging phone so please forgive the poor quality.

This is what the walk way looks like in a wide shot.

While there I also checked out the arcades only to find that new Gundam game by Bandai / Namco The arcade had 4 of this massive units.

The screen wraps around the entire front of the unit giving you real dept as if you were there in the midst of the action.

The game is controlled by 2 joysticks (Virtual On style) and two foot peddles.

And of course there's the cockpit style chair.

200 yen per play which is pretty much the going rate for something like that.

Here's something that 'v ebeen looking for for years

    http://blogs.bootsnall.com/theglobal...s/004769.shtml

I had heard this was created after Godzilla vs Destroyah was released as sort of a Tombstone for the fans of the big G.

All I can tell you from the article is that it's located somewhere in the Ginza district of tokyo.

That is wild with that cigarette machine, since I can see with my eyes, they have all the Prince Cigarettes, but no Red Corner 100.
Still extreme, you Can buy House of Prince cigarettes in Japan. I figured that it was more Japanese and perhaps American cigs(I do see that you can buy Marlboro) you could, but it surprices me. That also House of Prince is presented there ...

    Ok, lovely pictures anyway :)

I hope to never stumble across a beer vending machine when I eventually go to Japan. That could spell trouble haha.

Probably because somebody would nut it within 5 minutes of it being put in the street  It's sad really but the reality is that you just couldn't do it in the west. :-( Really is a shame though because these vending machines are extremely convenient! Sometimes after a big piss-up I walk past a food vending machine. From there I get hot chips (fried potatoes), fried chicken or hotdogs. All lovely and warm. Next to it there's the normal can vending machine with hot drinks as well. Great for when you can't find a shop

We actually went at noon, and again at 4:30. The pictures are from noon. You couldn't tell, but there was another one of those at 4:30. I usually did gaijin style New Years (eg: clubbing until noon) but those days are long gone.

That person's face was completely exposed, so he grabooled it up so that in the .000001% chance that the person sees the picture, he isn't pissed that his identity is out there without his approval.

I was going to comment about that man having a penis for a face, thus forcing GP to blur it out, but then I realized that he would never do such a thing. He would just post it up and listen to us all squirm uncomfortably.
