Godfather director pissed off at EA and Godfather game...

    http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/04...s_6121958.html

That isn't a good sign if the director:

-Says he didn't approve of it

-Said the preview build wasn't that good

Heh...Negative Karma is coming back to EA.

Would it be like GTA during the 1930s in Chicago or something? I can see the missions now, cut horse's head off , then sneak in a house to put it in some guy's bed.

well EA has constantly had to resort to using licenses to sell their shitty games. Rouge Agent would have blown more ass if it was sold on it's own without the loose 007 license in it. This is just a glitzier horse in the GTA knockoff race. There's already games being developed with snoopdogg and 50 cent or some shit. The only way for these to stand out from behind GTA is to have a license thrown on them now. I know some people hate the GTA games, but there's no faster way to end them than wattering down the genre.

"They use the characters everyone knows, and then for the next hour they shoot and kill each other. I had absolutely nothing to do with the game, and I disapprove"

I knew nothing about it. They never asked me if I thought it was a good idea, I went and I took a look at what it was ... What they do is they use the characters everyone knows and they hire those actors to be there and only to introduce very minor characters. And then for the next hour they shoot and kill each other.
I had absolutely nothing to do with the game and I disapprove, I think it's a misuse of film.

I hope he's just an ass and EA will make a good game of it :smt083

Well said Johnny Vodka :smt045 I couldn't have said it better myself. EA are well known for crap movie licensed games. I hope this one falls right on it arse where it should be.

And meanwhile Brando and Mario Puzo are not merely rolling, but SPINNING with the force of a high-powered drill in their graves. :(

    Nothing is sacred anymore.

Heh, they're proclaiming the game to be the most expensive one ever made. More like PR talk to me, no way GT4 (estimated 60 - 80 million dollar) and Shenmue (around 35 million dollar, 7 years) are going to be beaten in production costs this generation.
