I hung up too soon but shortly after I thought that maybe I should have had some fun with the guy.
Just out of curiosity has anybody ever gotten a phone call where the person on the other end had a thick Accent trying to sell or obtain info?
This isn't the first scam phone call I've gotten, and it's not the first I regret not fucking with the guy on the other end of the line either.
There is a funny detail I left out, when he called I was downloading Porn.

I hang up. My guess is any decent scam is trying to get you on many levels. Even if they don't get you for the big scam, you might inadvertently give up some personal information which might fuck you later. As much as I'd like to turn the tables and waste their time... I don't have any time to waste.

Scam phone calls? Like the ones calling about a free trip to Mexico? That's all I get. Does anyone get the nigerian police force calling them about a 10 million dollar deal going down? As long as it's not a robot, I have fun with anyone who calls my house, including wrong numbers. I like to take messages for the person they were trying to reach, and then google stalk them to find out who they are. Or pretend I'm that person ("yeah, my voice sounds different on our new home phone!") and see what they're even calling about in the first place. When you tell them who you really are they either get pissed and yell, get embarresed, interrogate you, or just hang up.
Over on Racket boy they're actually giving me shit for being 31 and downloading porn rather than stream it.
They give me shit for THE STRANGEST THINGS.

I usually put the phone to the Porn I downloaded and left there...

Next time it happens, record the conversation of you screwing with them.

I had calls before that wanted my credit card info and I always give them random numbers
I plan on it.
Next time you get a computer scam from MicroScam, use Android, iOS, or MacOS and follow them along, confuse them when you tell them it doesn't run. Be sure to sound clueless, yes it has windows so it must be Windows.
don't forget to tell them although feels good to have breeze not sure why you need to open window to let the air in when you have PC problem...
or tell them you can't open the window 'coz it's raining outside~

I had oen of these. They tried to get me to download their remote desktop software so they can remove the viruses from my computer. After a long ass conversation, I said "On Windows? I have Linux". The guy hung up right away.

No the guy on the other end had either a Swedish or Brazilian accent. I couldn't tell. It wasn't Indian.
