Yet another development Saturn on Yahoo Japan

G'day!

looks like I missed another development Saturn auction on Yahoo Japan.
Someone sent me below pictures but forgot the link - it's in my inbox at home so I can't get to it till tonight - I just got the image link he sent to me.

Looks very interesting especially that VCD thing. Also looks like this one's by one of Japanese firm - anyone ever heard of Compile?

Not sure what was the end price but given it's missing documents I wouldn't have bought it even if I had chance... besides I already have three development Saturn albeit incomplete. :)

Its a cartdev. Why is the VCD thing interesting? As on ALL saturn dev units, that means VIRTUAL CD unit, *NOT* Video CD. In other words, that's where you hook up the mirage.

Oh, and FYI, Cross Components were British. It is they who made it.

If there is a sticker on the machine for another company, that is who USED it.

or is there anybody thinking of selling theirs?
I am looking for one but I don't know who to ask to get it for me if the kit is in Japan.

even hardware alone will cost you at least 15000 yen plus all the documents which can add another 10000 yen easily and then you will have to arrange the shipping...

how much would approximately cost the entire system? I mean console, cart, VCD emulator, documentation, software?

If you guys can get me a complete system I might be interested if it's not extremely expensive.

Well, to be honest if somebody can find me the whole system in working condition, including software, I can be willing to part with $600 or so; it's just that I would prefer to get everything in one go instead of collecting the various bits over time.

Can anybody help?

if you wanted software aswell you would probably have to pay a fair whack more than $600 :o

Yes, but what would be the use of the devkit without the software?
I am prepared to pay what it takes if somebody can demonstrate he can provide me what I am looking for, unless the price is totally unreasonable.
