    Sony Opens PlayStation Exhibit

Japan's Hall of Future Science located in Odaiba has opened an exhibit dedicated to Sony's PlayStation brand of game consoles. Sponsored by Sony, the exhibit provides a rare glimpse into the development of both the PlayStation and PlayStation 2. Among the list of exhibits on display are early prototype designs of PlayStation controllers. Sony also has exhibits dedicated to the Emotion Engine and Graphics Synthesizer of the PlayStation 2 and Eye Toy technology on display. Below are several pictures of the PlayStation Science exhibit, our thanks to Game Impress for the images.

    For the pics.

Too bad I missed that, I rode Sega's Joypolis though in Odaiba, that was lame. I don't think you'll ever see a SFC PlayStation unit on display.

I remember when a lot of people were complaining that Sony was ripping off of the SNES controller design. It does copy a lot from the controller but Sony made it better to handle 3D games.

That is why I got one

I got a PS instead of an n64 because I prefered the SNES-like controller since that was my previous console.
