Mega Everdrive corrupting often?

Anybody else with a Mega Everdrive finding that the OS is getting corrupted often. If there just happens to be a rom that the Everdrive doesn't like or a game freezes and I have to reset I get the Prog 100 error, then reset again to a new error. I can then play another game after that, but the errors begin occurring after every game. Or sometimes the menu will freeze with a purple square around the back. Eventually I just have to reformat the SD card and load up the OS again. I downloaded the latest OS from Krikzz site, so I'm good on that part. Any tips or suggestions on what could be going on?
I've been primarily been playing on my Nomad, so I wonder if it's having some issues with that.

Errors probably mean that sd card does not work stable, may be incompatible with cart. try to use another sd card if possible. Purple square around screen usually means that some pins of cart lost physical connection with cart slot. Also possible that power supply is too weak.
