It's not region free, so that won't do much good to someone in Australia.

That would be a problem. Unless he has a Region Free player.

Speaking of which Region free Blu ray. Insignia and Oppo are the only ones right?

OK so I just watched T2 in full (other times I just see bits and pieces) This blu ray (bundled with Total Recall) Looked decent.

Also I'm going against common thought and say........I HATE THIS MOVIE. OH OH don't get me wrong Linda Hamilton was awesome, Robert Patrick was Awesome, AHNOLD was great.......

It's just Ed Furlong is such an annoying little shit everytime he spoke it would suck me right out of the movie.

I think that was part of his appeal. To be annoying because he was a "sooper rebellious" kid.

Great, now I want some soup. It's automatically rebellious because I'm a vegetarian. :)

Man, how can anyone hate Terminator 2? It's just...the whole concept...Hating. Terminator 2. The kid isn't even that annoying: besides, he wears a Public Enemy shirt, and Public Enemy is awesome. Even if you accept the kid is annoying, there's also the beginning ("I need your boots, your clothes and your motorcycle"), the chase scene with the bikes, the scene with the minigun at Cyberdyne and the part where T-1000 gets frozen and shattered as proof that T2 is great.

That's just it I loved everything else about the movie, Linda Hamilton did a great job, AHNOLD had an iconic performance, Robert Patrick did a great job of not having a soul. EVERYTHING was great........

Exepect Ed Furlong I was just so annoyed by him It wasn't even the personality everytime he spoke I just wanted to punch him in the face.

He's also ONE of the reasons I can't stand American History X

Look at it this way: T3's John Connor was way worse - and don;t get me started on Terminator: Salvāshit.

This is probably the third time I've said this, but the way T3 shits all over T2 is just appalling. "No fate? Whoops, of course there is! Everyone will die no matter what you do!" Not to mention the obvious plot hole of Ahnold's Terminator model having a battery inside that's basically a giant bomb. Or the part where the power of friendship saves John Connor in a plot point lifted straight from a Saturday morning cartoon. All in all, fuck T3, even if it does have a couple of action scenes that are pretty cool.

And speaking of Terminator sequels: I struggled a lot with Terminator: Salvation in part because every time anyone asked Kyle his name he would say, self assuredly, 'I'm Kyle Reese' - always his full name, like anybody knows who the hell he is at this point in history. It completely dragged me out of the film.

I've never seen Terminator Salvation, but one of these days I'll have to bite the bullet and watch it.

what kills T2 for me is hearing the directors commentary say that ed furlong had to redub a lot of his lines because he started going through puberty halfway through filming...

...and if you watch you can see when the sync is slightly off

I noticed that too. I also kept thinking about American History X during T2.

I kinda wish American History X and T2 swapped endings.
