Perhaps only in limited amounts at the Dreamarena shop? That being said... the font at the front looks off, so perhaps its a clever Chinese clone?

WTB: Dreamkey 3.1 (help me complete my Dreamcast PAL-set!)
I'm asking the seller where he got it from and if it's genuine. I also requested more pictures with better quality. Let's wait and see.
The font on the 'Dreamcast VGA Box' looks wrong, very wrong.
But hey-ho, might be legit!

Updated shots. I believe this is legit and it was released here in Portugal, distributed by Ecofilmes (check label in the back of the product box) ,the official Dreamcast distributor in the country back in the days.

I still doubt its legit, the grammar is all wrong for an official product, the Dreamcast logo is not a sticker on the official product and the cable looks wrong too.
Having said that, Ive never seen that before so you still never know

I'd guess Hong Kong.

My feedback thread, since it seems somewhat difficult for people to find.
for a pal one, there is some curious text :
- "Compatible models : The Dreamcast with NTSC-J"
- Sega Japan website
Also, several typos and poor grammar in the text (such as: 'Thank you very much for your purchasing our product the VGA box', 'we will not guarantee the normal work' and 'Do not place the device on the unstable place, or it may be fall into or hurt others.') kind of shouts 'not genuine' to me.
Also, when you compare it to a US or Japan VGA adapter, you notice the plug and moulding on the box look incorrect and not in keeping with the style of other Dreamcast connectors - although this could be just the style of the adapter. Here's an example of a genuine one:

I'm inclined to say fake as well, its built looks completely different from the japanese one (I don't know about the US one, though I think thats an urban legend as well, as no one has ever seen one); the lettering on the box is completel off compared to other PAL releases (which are all exactly the same). also the swirl on the vga box is slightly off with the original one (check the center), why is the word "Dreamcast" printed on the vgabox in blue, its in grey on every other piece of PAL hardware.
also €100?? should it be legit, he's either giving it away, or he's a complete moron for selling it so cheap, since it would be über rare as no one has ever seen it.

Yep, plug looks wrong, grammar etc...
Just a warning:
If this plug is like any other cheap HK RGB scart cable's, DO NOT buy it, as the connector will either be fucked already or due to be in just a matter of time (blue haze phenomena)!
...and about the Ecofilmes distribution: that's just a sticker, so yes, inclined to say Hong Kong produced.
(sorry for not editing, problem with webmarshal)

This thing is clearly fake. Connection to the Dreamcast doesn't even match the box art illustration. On top of that the connection looks identical to the NAKI brand VGA box peripheral (1 of 5 DC VGA devices i own).
Hey everyone! Nice to meet you all!

The sticker looks like a copy of the original mold, including the typo (missing space between comma and LTD). This would also explain why the Sega logo is missing some details.
A better picture of this sticker would tell if genuine or not.
I think those 2 pics say enough by itsself![]()
