Fc NewFc2 Favorite NES Games Only Released in Japan?

I'm thinking about doing some ROM reproductions just for myself as a fun project. However, I would prefer to do it for games that are unreleased in the US. I would like to do at least five of them, and one that I definitely want to do is the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2. What other games would you guys recommend?
    Thanks!

    Gimmick
    Battle Formula
Devil World (would be nice due to its supposed controversy)
    Bio Miracle
    Famicom Wars
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

Gimmick came out in Europe as Mr. Gimmick, though it's extremely rare and expensive. Devil World was released in Europe too. Some of my favorites are Crisis Force and Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Grafitti.

fyi, make sure you use the right Mario 2 hack, you need to use loopy's MMC3 version, the other hacks use pirate mappers which you won't be able to repro from

I used to play these games when I was young from a cartridge that has lot of games on, most of them where exclusive to japan.
Battle City (a classic, it's really fun with two players)
    Penguin-kun Wars
    Pooyan

I haven't tested alot of other than these. Would be curious to see everyone's favorite famicom games :)

I'm kind of curious about Power Blazer. Maybe Zyuranger to be funny.

Cocoron - It's not a very difficult game (until some of the bs at the very end), but I love the idea of building your own heroes for the game.

Kid Dracula - You have to love a game where the first boss is a KKK member with a swastika on his hat.

Wai Wai World 2 - I haven't played the first one, but it looks fun too. This game has everything you love about Konami games in one game. Why? Because you go to levels from all these games!

I second Kid Dracula. It's a fun game. It is a real shame it didn't make it to the US on the NES. It did on Gameboy but the NES would have been better. Konami could have ported it for the NES and Nintendo's own mappers.

I have a lot of ROMS to go through :) I will probably order a programmer and the necessary tools in a couple weeks or so. Thanks for the suggestions; I can't wait to give this a try!

Sorry for the double post, but what is the best programmer to use? I see people using the Willem one a lot, and I see a lot of older ones on eBay for pretty cheap, but there's no drivers or information on them. Just asking for the sake of keeping options open :-)

Last minute echo: Thexder! Seeing thread made me want to buy a copy of Gyromite just to make a converter - for the express purpose of playing that particular game! I haven't touched it since the Apple IIGS port Sierra put out some 23 years ago. If someone put out a decent American repro, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

fwiw I recommend picking up a Top853 programmer on ebay, it will save you alot of money versus more expensive options and works with all the EPROMs you'd need for NES repros
