The production of silence in art is an utopian enterprise.
If we disregard the alchimie du verbe, traditional language cannot capture the essence of what we attempt.
It possesses utility only so far as it can construct boundaries. Forgive me, but I truly believe that music encompasses more, not stumbling in logic and formality.
That's just my point of view and I think it's a good idea but I don't think that it's possible, I don't know how many new users register each day but I think mods already have enough work to do.
Checking each new user's post to see if it's a "good" or a "bad" one is just impossible.

I, too, voted for 50 posts & 90 days - take that from someone who doesn't meet either criteria. I want to see the integrity of the forum upheld by any reasonable means necessary, and this is a great idea.
The Marketplace rules imply restrictions on all forum dealings, even if psychological, and that's a powerful deterrent for douchebaggery - which is why I am here, and not somewhere else. You guys know your shit - and each other.
Integrity = Good. Rant over. Carry on.

I voted for 50 posts and 30 days. Of course, as someone who rarely posts (and visits every day), I honestly don't know how someone could post 50 times in a month. I also agree with good posts, but I dont think that should be up to the mods to screen. That's a bunch of work for them, where you could take 2 minutes of your time to actually go through a person's post history. And I definitely think that we need to place more emphasis on the feedback threads. I'm guilty of not posting in people's threads, and this system would definitely help the newer members.
I think 50 and 30 days is the way to go, then increase the time if needed afterwards. I've been here awhile and still haven't managed 50 posts, does take awhile I think. Maybe if there was some type of report function if a user is spotted pointlessly spamming to increase there post count.
I voted 50 posts and 90 days

Anthaemia.: Anyway, that's enough crazy ranting and wild speculation for now...
ASSEMbler: Please don't invite him here, there's no room for crazies here we're full up.
Barc0de: I m biased for Nintendo
90 days.
People can kinda just wing 50 posts by posting a generic message that would be posted anyways. 90 days will filter out those who are looking for a one time use of the market place.
Can we make it that you have to read the forum rules before posting? Or maybe a pop-up for new members (like the "new message" pop-up)

anyone below 11.000 posts shouldn't sell on his own. a 20% cut for anyone above that post count would be ideal..for me.
