BMX 4 - Acclaim Tech Demo for the Xbox 1

It is extremely early, thus how it has basically no features and is glitchy. It’s unclear exactly what this game was to be, whether it was a sequel to BMXXX or something else entirely. Despite being early, the game does allow the player to get off the bike, something that was seen in some of the Tony Hawk games (with a skateboard, of course).

I wonder who developed that game. I worked on Dave Mirra 04 for a very short time, no idea if this BMX game came before or after but i get the feeling it may be before as DM04 got cancelled because acclaim were going down at that point, i don't think it ever got officially announced or shown off, heres some screenshots of concept art/WIP. I've also got a video somewhere of a flythrough of an early enviroment.

Im going to be careful what i post and just put out there which is already in the public domain somewhere as you never know whos reading, even though both dev and publisher no longer exist. The two top screens are concept art and the bottom is a render of the WIP level.

First off, havent posted here in ages, have still been lurking though :) Missed you guys!

And second, awesome find Borman. As an avid BMX rider since the age of 13 ( im 28 now), The Dave Mirra series probably got 1000's of hours of playtime from me. It truly was an amazing game, and captured the spirit of BMX riding way better than Mat Hoffmans series ever did. The trick modification systems were what made this game so awesome.

I realize this is just a tech demo, but is there any chance of an eventual release for it? I still bust out my Dave Mirra 2 and BMX XXX every here and there to play em, and seeing as how there hasnt been a bmx game in over 10 years, and no signs of one anytime soon, it would be awesome to just mess around with this tech demo.

On a side note, I really want to see the same dev team that made the Skate series try their hands at a BMX game, i think they could make something mind-blowing.

There is always a chance. I don't think its worth that much for what it is, but feel free to PM me, and we can work out a release of the game.
