super ufo question

picked up a couple of super ufo units recently. One works fine the other flashes on screen for a few secs then goes black. Would the internak battery being dead cause this as everything on the board looks fine. Appreciate any help on this.

I wouldn't have thought the battery being dead would cause it to not boot, however I have never personally owned one of these units. Try cleaning the cartridge connector where it plugs into the system. I disassemble and clean the contacts with a pencil eraser, give em a good rub and get all the crap off.

Hmm no luck same thing...wonder if it`s just had it!! Any other ideas guys?

Check the traces etc, all these copiers even up to the V64 are horrible units... It could also have some bad joints some where.
