Hmm, do you look half? Saying that, the owner of a bar I like to go to looks half but he's pure American. A really nice guy too.

A little bit I think, I am half Asian (not Japanese) so occasionally get asked if I am half Japanese or some people just assume I am half Japanese.
People who have mixed friends I guess will think I am half.

Largely true yes, so come visit Japan if you have the money.
It is best to have a return or onward flight out of Japan within the 90day period.

Also criminal records are frowned against - hopefully you don't have one.
I can't remember but on the landing card I think they ask (dont quote me) if you have had any convictions before

If you have any type of conviction, just lie and say no. They will not check unless you're applying for a residence visa. For a 90-day, just go. Unless you were in a famous case (like Russell Brand or Brittany Spears) you're fine.
