This paper is supposedly compatible. I've yet to buy any.

My feedback thread, since it seems somewhat difficult for people to find.

    N64 Pad

PROTIP: If you have a 64drive and a Transfer Pak you can dump the pictures from your gameboy camera using agbd.

shameless plug for a shameless thread

There was also a third party PC adapter. It used a serial or a printer cable, I think. I used to have one, but I lost it long ago. I still have a Game Boy Camera and a Game Boy Printer (box included), though. I love the GB Camera. I've wasted so many hours playing with that thing. No, scratch that, they were not wasted.

You can dump the sram of the camera with several backup units, e.g. GBXchanger, modified XGflash. You can even restore deleted pictures.

I have the Mad Catz serial cable. I use my Libretto as a capture station ^_^

You can see my Interact Mega Memory Card I have in the background there for backing up the pictures. if you then put the save on a USB flashcart you can dump the pictures that way - but I like it the old fashioned way.

Nice part about agbd is that it doesn't require legacy cables (parallel) or funky rare Chinese hardware. It's all off the shelf stuff and works with a modern PC.

I love seeing old hardware being put to good use.

Now that's a good idea. I have the Mad Catz cable as well and was looking for a small laptop to put it to use again.

Yeah, next convention I go to I've decided to use nothing but the Gameboy Camera. I have 6 of them, have the Mega Memory Card to back them up in case I can't dump the pictures. The Libretto is gonna come with me and be used to capture them.

My friend was like "Won't it be annoying having to click "print" for every single picture?" he didn't know you can go to "transfer" and then select all 30 and then print them continuously lol

Yes it is. I took a few hundred pictures at Animefest 2012 using a bunch of Gameboy Cameras.

Is anyone in touch with Mike Ryan (author of agbd)? I e-mailed him but no answer. It would be good if we had the source and make it compatible with Everdrive 64.

EDIT:I just saw that he is a member here. Geez i get really careless sometimes.

I like the gb camera, happy to have atleast 1. Printer is also awesome, still have to try that arduino to printer hack. (no real hack anymore)
Are there anymore diferences between those camera's? like revision, memory? or all the same, and software?

the japanese pocket cam has inverted menus, and different stamps.

The quality of the pictures varies between my different cameras...not sure if it's because of age or what. But I don't use my red or green one anymore

Yes, there is. First you need to set the compatibility mode for the camera software to Win98. Then get AllowIO.exe (http://retired.beyondlogic.org/porttalk/porttalk.htm, scroll down for the download link) and run the camera software through allowio so that you get access to the port. It's been a couple of years since I did this but you can also google for "allowio" and "madcatz" for further details.

On my PC it would only work when no other program was running so I had to add a path for allowio.exe and start it directly from Windows Menu - Run (Win button + R).

honestly just get the EMS USB flash cart, and a Interact Mega Memory card. Back up camera to MMC, restore save onto the flash cart. Plug cart in, put sav on ANY PC, use program GBCAM DUMPER to pull all the images off.

10 seconds instead of 10 minutes to dump your pics
