The fact it says N64/Gamecube would imply its not correct.
The N64 does not have the Digital port the GC has for component out. So there is no way a component cable you are looking for could work on a N64, which implies its not what you want.
I'm searching component cable for GC...i think that gamestop page is incorrect...the cable is for GC and is component, but it isn't for N64...
Which is what I was saying.
The fact they are advertising it as gamecube/n64 would suggest its not the gamecube component cable.
I think someone has gotten composite and component mixed up. As the N64 and Gamecube composite cables are identical.
well...you think that the gamestop page is refer to composite gc/n64 cable? is possible...damn :(
A lot of times when you go to Gamestop, it refers to the composite cable that works for the cube/n64. But sometimes you do get lucky and get a component cable. I checked around 7 different gamestops 1-2 years ago and never found one. I would say the odds are pretty low. Not worth the effort.
It's funny that I bought a couple of component cables 2 years ago, paying $60-$70 for each and I thought that was high. It's crazy that people are paying $120 for it.
...so crazy and so ridiculous for a cable that nintendo sold for 30 dollars...
I bought a new one from playasia for around $20 a couple of years ago, I had absolutely no idea they where in such demand
these pics really dont do it justice but this hammers wii 480p big time this cable is worth every penny in my book for GameCube'in on a HDTV and makes my philips ambilight smile lol....
The cable is hard to find at Gamestop because of the mislabeled confusion. The Gamestop site lists it as GameCube/N64 Component Cable. Most of the time it is either a Gamecube SVideo, a Wii Component Cable or once I found a 360 Component cable in the bag.
Keep looking you just might get lucky. The Gamestop SKU is 900572 priced at $4.99.

Wonderful surprise! :) you're so lucky! not me... i can't physically go to gamestop usa :(
really? so...accessories and cables of gc are no longer available on gamestop usa store?
This is true, no more Tradeins on Gamecube stuff. The existing Gamecube merchandise is still being sold and some stores still have the SKU in stock. A very long shot that the correct cable is in the bag, but one could get lucky by keeping the eyes open.
Did I see a post that stated New York showed five Gamestops with that SKU on hand?

yes...a simple search with tag "new york" at this page...

sku=900572 fact...
I think Gamestop has done an inventory recently, because the available "component" cable hits have gone down to nothing. Very, very unlikely any store has them. Given the 80-100 USD cost, it's cheaper to buy a Wii and use that for 480p.
