games with the disconnected support of HDD

there is such problem, have 3 games of the American and one Japanese namely:
1:Final Fantasy VII SLPM_666.29
2:Winback 2 SLUS_209.47
3:Unlimited Saga SLUS_206.78
4:Dark Cloud 2 SCUS_972.13

in Wikipedia on these games support of partial installation on HDD, and possibility there preservations on HDD, on all 4х images of disks of these games there are files:
1:ATAD.IRX
2:DEV9.IRX
3:PFS.IRX
4:HDD.IRX

from what follows that support of HDD in game is, but is visible it is blocked, through HDD-Enabler them it was not possible to start, whether there are what else ways to include in them HDD support?
If it so important at me is established to HDD OSD, the PS2 FAT SCPH-50008 HDD Seagate 40гб console, all other games with support of HDD are established normally and remain, the established data of games and their preservation are visible in the browser (about 10 games with official support of HDD are established)

i dont really understand what you want to do exactly, but.
the us version of the 3 games you named(winback 2, darkcloud 2 and unlimited saga) had the hdd support removed, only the original japanese version have the hdd support off these games.
and "final fantasy 7 - Something......" had only hdd support for the playonline software, the updated version that got later rereleased in japan, had the hdd-support also removed(including the playonline multiplayer).

but i belive that i have read somewhere that it is possible to "re-enable" the hdd support on some western released versions.
example would be, western kingdom hearts, where i think it was possible.

I don't think it could be re-enabled in Kingdom Hearts as the needed IRX files aren't on the disk.

Looking at Final Fantasy X NTSC U/C, the required IRX files are present and there names are referenced in the game's ELF, but they aren't loaded. Looking at the elf in PS2DIS or IDA could answer some questions.

Edit: the FFX Prototype also has the needed IRX modules on the disk and it DOES try to load them. Here's what loadmodule is doing when the game boots w/ PCSX2. Note that I didn't have a dev9 plugin active:

I'll check the prototype later to day and see if my PS2's fans speed up when the game boots. The fans will always spin faster if dev9.irx is loaded in a game (my own theory, unconfirmed haha). I'll compare the retail and prototype's ELF files too.

Edit 2: The Prototype made my system's fans speed up and I could hear the HDD spin up too. The install option is available on the main menu. Unfortunately, upon seeing the install screen, the game freezes.

i too once collected games with hdd support, but it become hard to figure out without getting the games and inspecting the discs/elf of the games,
because not every game has it noted on the back of the gamecase in japan. :/

by the way I heard that some games for PS2 had DLC and some, for example College Hoops 2К6 MLB 2K6 NHL 2K6 NBA 2K6 supported updating to 2K9 versions. Whether it is interesting to me to eat the list of all such games having possibility to use DLC and to be updated to newer version? and whether it is possible them still where that to download?

what i heard of is, that first(not DX, since it dosent have HDD support at all) bomberman kart had downloadable DLC, but i cant confirm that, since i dont have the japanese Bomberman kart.

i know that you can download "new" rosters on the 2K sport games to update it, but this arent updates to completly update the game, from one version to another.
this was also possible on the xbox version of these games.

Wild Arms 3 (the regular one, not the advanced version). Since the original installs, the enhanced would too, not ?

Same thing apply to Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts international. Or FFX. lol

that list is actually kinda maintained by me :p. i added most of the japanese games to that list(beginning with age of empires 2).
there still lots of games missing, in there. as i said earlier it is hard to tell sometimes, because, not all games have it written on back of the case.

FYI: Final Fantasy VII SLPM_666.29 is Dirge of Cerberus, which had an online mode in the Japanese version. That was implemented in the same manner as FFXI, therefore re-enabling HDD functionality would be pointless, online mode was retired a long time ago too.
