Yeah, I told him I was absolutely certain he could easily build up a buisness from this but he is more like "I mix my two passions: my work and videogames"
I didn't give up however: I will convince him to start something bigger :)

Personally I would've engraved the logo inverted, so the inside tones are the ones engraved, and the outside is protruding. Then paint it so it looked like a typical 16-bit sega startup screen.

Yeah, definitely paint them blue and take a photo. Spray paint would do the trick.
Ask him first though. You don't want to make him mad for his hard work ;)

I would seriously consider using those stone slabs for a pavement in my garden. Just sayin'.
