So has anyone else gotten an invitation for this? You'll be able to have a hands-on experience with the Wii U. I'll be going around the end of this month.

Nintendo has become more and more a novelty than a staple of the video game world. It makes me sad. Why cant they just make a regular console and remake classic games?

They do still "remake classic games"... what would you call NSMB2, NSMBWiiU, Pilotwings Resort, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, Luigi's Mansion 2, Pikmin 3, etc.?

Yes, they make gimmicky consoles and make gimmicky games for those gimmicky consoles, but if you think they don't output the same amount of stuff similar to what they had been doing prior to the Wii, you aren't paying attention (at all).
