try solution from my first message if you have error 100 also. error 100 mean that cart can't find save file in saves folder, it definatelly some damage of fat or card was formated by some weird device, like digital cam, or, sometimes, it may just a linux machine. i did not seen such problens with my cards, so i still can't understand where the problem. Usually full reformat under windows is helps. also you may try to change fat system from fat16 to fat32, or visa versa

Right iv done everything listed to try and fix the problem and still no joy but found out what also could be a possible course and might be worth looking into :)

when i load games with sram features such as sonic 3 it will auto save a 64kb .srm file ect but what im finding is games with no sram support say micro machines or rocket knight adventures are making sram files of 0kb?

could this be the reason for the error 100?

they have 0kb size cuz OS can not find and write anything in those files, so it is consequence of problem

But with games with sram support i dont get a error 100 when backing up the .srm file but when playing say sonic 1 then try and load sonic 3 it will fail to back up the sonic 1 .srm file yet that game doesn't have any save support?

as iv stated never had this problem with os 32 and below :(

so just return v32. Anyway v33 and v34 don't have any important updates. I can't fix the problem until i can't reproduce such problem on my test cart

Froggydarren nailed it right away. I've got the very exact same problem with the SRAM backup. From time to time the cart wants to build a .srm file from games which don't have any save feature at all... It seems like there is a bug in the save detection algorithm since v33.

it happens before flash erase/burning or after?

    1. Load a new game into the flash. (Game with no save feature)
    2. Turn off game.
    3. Load another game into the flash.
    4. Everdrive recognizes save which shouldn't. Tries to write to the sd card. Error 100.
    5. Every other load fails because Everdrive get's error 100 while trying to write to sd card.

To circumvent this i manually created a .sram file to empty the F-RAM and to be able to continue to an other game. There is a file attached in my thread "SRAM broken in V33". Perhaps it helps to find the missing link.

current OS don't try to recognize sram, cuz some games has wrong headers. OS just look if sram content was changed and perform backup in case if something was changed. probably some games may write something in sram area by unknown reasons, but it definately not the reason of error100. may be you have too many files inside of SAVE folder? error100 should happen if you have more than 500 files inside of /EDMD/SAVE folder

I'm sorry. I have only 10 files there. This reason can be ruled out...

OS v33 and OS v34 don't work for me too... Prog 100 error all the time, no matter what. Creating the folder manually or not...
FAT? I've tried all possible format options available in both Windows XP and Windows 7; no dice.

OS v32 works fine using the same SD.
