Castlevania Symphony of the Night language in the japanese version

I would like to buy the japanese version of Castlevania Symphony of the Night for the PlayStation.

Does anyone know if the menus, text boxes and so on are in English language?

It has English here and there. Main menu, opening text crawl, various other bits like character stats.

Story cutscenes are near complete Japanese. Including voices. You aren't going to know what items/powers/etc do either.

Pretty weird definition of "HD"...it's just the original game with a smoothing filter.

    Sure

I tried playing the Japanese SOTN a little bit, but even if you know a bit of Japanese it's still a little bit of a pain. Most items are English words written in katakana which I find a pain in the ass to decipher. If they're just English words anyway, why didn't Konami just write them with Roman letters? Really annoying.
<- can someone please make this as a repro and sell it so me?

Just play the US version. It ain't SOTN without the classic " What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets! ". In fact it ain't SOTN without the English voiceovers as a whole xD

"You steal men's souls and make them your slaves!"

"Perhaps the same could be said of all religions..."

"Your words are as empty as your soul."

Truely is an awesome game, it deserves another play through if I do say so my self.

The Xbox Live version seems to be the cheapest version of this game. Does the Xbox Live version have any advantages compared to the PSone version, e.g. real time save?
