The main problem was solved in the end but the unwillingness of nds_demo to respond in a more timely fashion and dirt kicking leads me to the conclusion of probably not someone I want to trade with.

As for banning purposes I think his childish behavior in the thread, and recent avatar update should have been reason enough...

Putting on my fairness cap a lot of people jumped on nds_demo pretty quickly in the thread, but as Rule #1 goes "Respect others or be destroyed." I'm going to say that for a while the thread was fairly respectful, but as more and more discussion on the matter occurred nds_demo's responses became less and less respectful and his avatar change goes to show that...Mature content rule #1. Also he has already flamed sonicdude in this thread Rule #2.

I vote ban.

Thank you for that. I forgot about Mature content rule #1. I later edited my post to remove the offensive language because of that. I got angry and posted that in the heat of the moment. I think I did right by starting this thread. I was ready to leave well enough alone but it's as you said sparksterz: his responses were very disrespectful, his avatar is breaking said rule, and him flaming me for starting this thread...

Am I right for doing this? Or should I have not bothered with it? I care for the good members here and when someone slanders a member with a good reputation, I can't take it. Help each other out where you can. Is that not what community members do? I think so because of the user market place, general discussions, and the problem solving members help other members out with. Even when the problem is not really their concern, I think they should lend a hand if the problem could grow to affect other good members. Right? Protect each other from potential dangers.

In this case, the danger is trading with a person who seems to either want to back out at the slightest thing they dislike or try to get something for nothing by ripping other members off with loopholes in the payment method commonly used. I really think from what I've read on the issue that started this that nds_demo was trying to get the item and keep his money. That's thievery and it is extremely wrong. Just shows what kind of person the guilty party is. So in interest of protecting other members from this "thief", I started this thread to get rid of this poor excuse for a human. No one else should have to risk their money or items being stolen mush less be subjected to his flaming. That wouldn't be much fun would it?

In my opinion, what he did is bad, and his attitude is even worse. Though I'm a naive chaps and I think he should have a second (last) chance.

I'd vote for a marketplace ban for 6 months. Then if he does something wrong again, he deserves the ban hammer.

@sonicdude, I think the mature content rule is mainly for sexual stuff, swearing is often seen on here without too much bothering. Though as your comment was directed to an individual, I think it was nice from you to have moderated yourself. I don't think people would mind if someone says "I fucking love nutella" though.

Personnaly I think his avatar change is childish, but I'm not afraid of, nor shocked beyond repair by, fingers.

@sonicdude Yeah, no problem. I try to look at things from a fair perspective whenever I can...To be honest I probably would have told him off too and had to re-edit my post. If someone wants to troll some where let them take it somewhere else, but to upset a community that much and not apologize at all seems a bit unwarranted. I might have re-considered if it actually looked like he respected the community and wanted to make amends.

@FamilyGuy, I know the mature content rule is mainly for sexual stuff...I did kinda bend the rule a bit on that one. I've seen and have no doubt dropped some cursing around on the forum, but I don't also make it take up such a large portion of every one of my posts like placing one in an avatar does ;) It does makes the site a bit more NSFW though.

It's one of those things where I gave him multiple chances to make it right. I notified him, not only via ebay, but through here, as I know he frequents here. I messaged him many times. I gave him many chances to make it right. And yet he dicked me around for a few weeks, with no excuse. With no apology. With no "I was wrong." He opened a case against me, against my will, against everything I was willing to do, and took from me 500$ that should have been rightfully mine by that point, at a time where I can't afford to have 500$ unaccounted for.

Assembler, I give you this : What would you feel if you had shipped a PS2 Tool out to someone. It sat in the post office, despite multiple delivery attempts. And yet they were going to deliver it back to you within day. PSTools are fragile items, you don't want an item like that to be out there for any longer than it should, it could be entirely smashed by the time it gets back to you. What if it got lost on the way back? Do you really want that sort of thing happening because of NDS_Demo changing his mind at the end of a transaction?
