    Underscanned Menus

Is there a way the old fasion Everdrive MD could get some underscanned menus?

On my old 80's round TV, it's hard to read the full file names at the bottom of the screen.. The left and right and top are fine, but the bottom status bar gets cut off.. Sadly it's nothing I can fix, this old TV has NO POTs to adjust scanning position and size, except vertical size.. Sure, I could re-adjust the vertical size, but then my 4:3 aspect ratio would be off, and it IS adjusted perfectly.

Any ideas I can get a special version made for my TV? Perhaps two rowes up and using no more width than the regular file list, would be perfect.

I'll get a picture of how much scanning is going on here.

    Here's what I see.

It's perhaps not AS bad as I made it sound, but a lot of these 80's rounded screen types use a bit more overscan than normal square TV's, almost 10% overscan.

I don't think they had this type of TV in mind. Everdrive was designed around RGB, being European origin.

RGB has nothing to do with it..

There are quite a bit of european TV's that are rounded and still RGB.

It should be a simple fix to just bump the status bar up one row..

usually, in old tv type there are rotary potentiometer inside for tune Display size(width, height...).

Not this one sdekaar.. Samsung thought it'd be smart to use permanent resistors in place of POTs, and I don't feel like screwing with it, i just repaired the TV already.

Krikzz, thanks, I'll try that in a minute.

Still does it on the menus too, but it appears I can see everything fine anyway, so it's not a bother: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/IMG_0723.jpg

EDIT: On a side note, on the home screen what does the "2" at the right mean?
