I don't think that was the first leaked picture of the console, but I remember it did prove the rumor of backwards compatibility.

No it was, before that we did see a motherboard picture leaked. That many people called fake.

Edit. Wait no. We saw it in that premier video they did, thats where they first showed the thing.

I thought the first leaked pictures of the 360 came out of the private MTV event in May? I don't think the kid playing Halo 2 happened till late June or July :p
