Where to find old popular comic magazines?
I know this is going to be an extremely stupid question, but I was wondering if used/second-hand bookstores in Japan are decent for finding old gaming magazines or old comic magazines like Monthly GanGan/Gan Gan Fantasy (GFantasy)?
I'm looking for a couple of specific issues of Monthly GFantasy published by Enix in 1998 and since I've had no luck looking on online auctions for them and my only family friend in Japan doesn't do games or comics, I've been at bit of a loss at trying to get them and I doubt it would be hard to miss a magazine the size of a phone book.
Would anyone be able to either recommend any stores or any sort of possible way to try and find and get these issues?
I've got the issue dates, the actual retail dates and know some of the content + artists involved in them, but I'm only lacking the cover images for them in terms of information.
I would probably pay a few hundred or so for them, but I'm honestly going a little crazy from how long I've been trying to find them online and I don't really know that many comic stores in Japan outside of a couple I've gotten some doujinshi through (mainly Toranoana).
Just not sure about second hand books or magazines in Japan, because I can usually find old ones here down say, from time to time finding some rare first edition prints of books in my spare time as I like to also collect particular authors, artists novels or comics.
So it's kind of gotten down to me giving up looking for them online, so any sort of help would be appreciated as it looks like I may need to eventually shell out and visit my friend and see if I can find them myself in Japan, which I would rather avoid as I feel that the more time it takes to try and look over there, the higher the odds are that I'm not going to be able to find anything - just either way I'd need some sort of idea for a starting point to look.

Best is Mandarake. You can find some obscurities sometimes... at least in Akihabara.
Ah, thanks. Would there be any other decent ones that may have online services too?

I wasn't sure about Melonbooks or anything like that, I tend to usually get things through auctions or Toranoana but the reason I'm being a bit persistant about trying to find them is that seeing that there isn't that much Clock Tower stuff, I have the feeling that the older this stuff gets the harder it's probably going to be to find everything else so I can document it all.
There was another site called Tea or had tea in the title that sold used comics but I haven't been able to find it again to check on there.
No -- this is Japan. They lack the gene to put their shops online in a coherent fashion.
