So I got so caught up in collecting I didn't dare to cut up my consoles. But this week i got bored and figured why the hell not!
So here is most my build; I Started a mock-up with the a regular xbox case then used the XCM red case. I'm going for precision cuts and trying to a achive custom look, but nothing too wild.
750GB HDD & 320GB HDD for a total of 1.07 TB!
Xecuter3 CE w/ Xecuter IR receiver
Debug bios and X3 Bios
Custom Intake fan
Integrated HDD switch
And now a TON of pictures:
It all started with an carefull buy on Ebay. 37$ shipped for a xbox that was almost brand new and still sealed.
Ripped out the guts within 10 minutes of delivery, note how clean it is!
Careful measuring and marking off the contours for cutting
Showing the clean cut and carefull countour achieved
Comparison of original versus slim
Test fit of sheilding
Beginning to cut shielding,
old fan (80MM) versus new (60MM)
Red case all cut up
Decided to use the black xbox faceplate front
Bondo applied, D
Sanded down - ready for wetsand
At this rate i need to wet-sand and polish everything. Also need to figure out how to trick the xbox into thinking it has a DVD drive...
